Kayaking in the Potomac:
I have recently discovered a new passion.... kayaking, I really enjoy the exercise, the views, the tranquility and just being out there!!
Michael and I have discovered another hidden treasure in DC, only minutes from downtown, the Fletcher's Cove Boat House. In the 5 years we have lived here we never knew this place, and today, finally (after a good friend told me about it) we went.
This is a place, totally surrounded by nature, where you can go fishing, rent bikes, boats, kayaks, etc.
Anyway, today we went for one hour kayak and one half hour walk, and it was great! We are taking advantage of the last few weeks of good weather before the winter comes in...

en Kayak sur le Potomac:
Depuis quelque temps je prends beaucoup de plaisir à faire du kayak!
Et aujourd'hui, Michael et moi venons de découvrir un endroit super sympa où on peut louer des canoes, des kayaks, des vélos, etc.. C'est une petite baie tout près du centre de Washington, où on est entouré de nature et de forêt!
Comme la journée était magnifique et la temperature très agréable, nous sommes allés faire une heure de kayak sur le Potomac et ensuite nous avons marché pendant une bonne demi-heure dans la forêt, c'était très sympa et très reposant.
L'automne c'est une des saisons les plus agréables à Washington!!!!

He encontrado una pasión nueva... hacer kayac!!!
Es una actividad super agradable, al mismo tiempo que me permite hacer ejercicio y fortalecer mis brazos.
Michael y yo acabamos de descubrir un pequeño tesoro escondido, a pocos minutos del centro de Washington, hay una pequeña bahía a orillas del rio Potomac y en pleno bosque, donde se puede alquilar bicicletas, botes, kayacs, etc.
Hoy alquilamos un kayak y nos fuimos remando por el rio Potomac, por una hora y luego hicimos una caminata de media hora por el bosque!!! Una buena forma de pasar el sábado y de aprovechar las últimas semanas de buena temperatura en Washington.
